We collect information you give us directly. When you make an enquiry, request a callback, make an offer, list a machine, create an account or apply for finance, you typically share your name, mobile number, email address, city or location, and details of the machines you want to buy or sell.

For transactions, registration and finance, we may also collect identity and business documentation as required by law and by our partners — such as PAN, Aadhaar (where permitted), GST number, company details, address proof, bank account details and machine ownership or RC documents. We collect only what is needed to complete a verified, lawful transaction.

We also collect some information automatically as you browse. This includes your device type, operating system and browser, IP address, approximate location, the pages and listings you view, and how you arrived at our site. This technical data helps us keep the platform secure, fix problems and improve the experience.

We use your information to provide and improve our services: to respond to enquiries and callbacks, arrange machine inspections, process offers, payments, finance and delivery, verify listings and identities, and keep you updated on machines and requests you have shown interest in.

We also use it to operate the business responsibly — to prevent fraud and misuse, maintain the security of accounts and listings, carry out analytics so we can improve our pages and pricing, meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and, where you have not opted out, to send you relevant offers and updates about AIE.

We only send marketing communications where we are permitted to, and you can opt out of them at any time without affecting the service you receive on active transactions.

AIE does not sell your personal information to anyone. We share it only as far as needed to deliver the service you have asked for, and always with appropriate safeguards.

This may include sharing relevant details with the other party in a transaction (a buyer or seller) to complete a deal; with our NBFC and banking partners when you apply for finance; with inspection, logistics and transport partners to verify and deliver machines; and with technology providers who host and support our platform under confidentiality obligations.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to — for example to comply with a court order, a tax or regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of AIE, our users or the public.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure the performance of our pages and campaigns.
